Section Detail
Cross Section through typical construction buildup
The 240mm EcoBox wall system is designed for projects targeting very low operational energy demand and enhanced fabric performance. By increasing the depth of the insulated structural zone, the system delivers excellent thermal performance while maintaining a simple, robust and highly buildable wall construction.
Built around the engineered EcoBox stud and filled with blown woodfibre insulation, the system reduces thermal bridging and provides a continuous, high-performance building envelope. The increased insulation depth enables U-values of approximately 0.15 W/m²K, making it particularly well suited to low-energy homes, Passivhaus-informed projects and clients seeking future-ready building performance.
By concentrating insulation within the structural zone, the 240mm system simplifies detailing and reduces reliance on additional insulation layers, helping to improve buildability, programme certainty and overall construction quality.
