Architect's Hub

The Hyem Frames system is designed to deliver high thermal performance through a coordinated, simplified wall build-up.

By integrating insulation within the structural zone and reducing thermal bridging, the system achieves strong performance with fewer materials and fewer construction layers.

Typical Buildup - Walls
U-value  0.13 - 0.22W/m2K

Wall thicknesses vary depending on overall U-value target and the proposed internal and external finish. The Ecobox stud allows much deeper cassette panels that can be fully filled with wood fibre insulation

  • Internal Sheathing Airtight Board (Egger OSB Top)

  • Structural + insulated zone (Egger EcoBox studs + wood fibre insulation). Studs range from 160mm to 280mm wide.

  • External sheathing (Egger DHF board)

  • External Breather membrane

This arrangement forms a vapour-permeable, breathable wall construction, supporting both performance and durability.

Design Process + Itegration

A Short explaination of the best practice design integration of our timber frame for Architects and Designers and when to get in touch

Enquire
RIBA Stage 2

Get in touch to discuss your proposals as soon as possible for a no obligation discussion and cost estimate based on your performance requirements and early concept designs.

Spatial Design
RIBA Stage 3

We can provide wall, floor and roof buildups designed specifically to your project U-Value targets. Use this to determine your overall wall buildups ahead of applying for planning permission. Avoiding redesign later.

Technical Design
RIBA Stage 4

Allow for the timber frame stuctural zone in your Revit Wall Families and CAD design elements. We can seemlessly integrate our timber framing design into your exisitng model. We cover the structural design of the timber framing elements and co-ordinate with your structural engineer if you have allready appointed one.

Manufacture and Installation
RIBA Stage 5

We will manufacture and install your timber frame to the exact specification, design and detail agreed at RIBA Stage 4. Our skilled team of installers will be on hand to ensure the process runs smoothly and deal with site specific challenges if they arise.
