Section Detail

Cross Section through typical construction buildup

The 160mm EcoBox wall system is our most compact timber frame solution, providing an efficient and buildable wall construction while retaining the flexibility to accommodate a wide range of external finishes and project requirements.

Built around the engineered EcoBox stud, the system combines structure and insulation within a single coordinated assembly, reducing thermal bridging and improving overall wall performance compared to conventional solid timber stud construction.

The 160mm system is particularly well suited to projects where wall thickness is a key consideration, such as constrained sites, extensions, and developments seeking to maximise internal floor area. To achieve the thermal performance required for modern new-build construction, the system may be supplemented with an external insulation layer or specified with enhanced insulation products within the structural zone, depending on project requirements and target U-values.
